We love Rowntree Park. If you do too, then we’d love you to become a Friend!
The Friends of Rowntree Park are a voluntary organisation who help maintain and improve the park, as well as running events for the community. You can support our work for as little as £5 a year. All membership money goes back into improving the park we all love!
We also have additional membership options that include additional donations as requested by some members (see below).
As well as supporting the work of our charity, members also receive:
- 10% off food and drink at Rowntree Park Reading Cafe with your membership card (please note the cafe is run by York Explore and is a separate business)
- Monthly newsletters that keep you up to date with our work and events in the park.
- Discount to some of our events
- The lovely feeling that your money is helping the park we all love!
You can join online for only £5 a year with our basic membership:
Once you make a payment, you will receive a welcome email in the next 24 hours. This includes a link to a digital membership card that you can use for your cafe discount.
Additional membership options:
We have been asked to add options for people who want to be members but are happy to donate a little more each year, therefore we have introduced bronze, silver and gold membership. You get all the same benefits, plus the knowledge that your extra donations are making a huge difference to the work our charity does!

Donations
If you would like to donate to the Friends of Rowntree Park, you can make a one-off donation of an amount of your choosing. We are grateful for any donations. If you have a specific idea how you’d like the money to be used, get in touch!
